POS Price List in Odoo 14

Many businesses are well-known for their extensive pricing lists. Price variance takes many forms, including end-of-year incentives, bonuses, discounts on terms and conditions over time, regular promotions, and occasional cost reductions, among others.

Smart price strategy is difficult because it requires you to incorporate the demands of various buyers and suppliers to efficiently deliver estimates or correctly invoice them. However, you could also keep your margins high and react quickly to market price changes. When negotiating offers, a good price control scheme gives you the ability to change all of the important variables.

Odoo has a powerful price list feature that can help you develop a pricing plan that is customized to your market. A price list is a list of commodity prices or pricing rules that Odoo searches for when determining the recommended price. You should set some conditions to use a certain price, such as deadlines, minimum quantity sold (meet a minimum quantity order and get a substantial discount), and so on.

Configuring Pricelist for POS

Install the Odoo apps Point of Sale module. Go to Configuration > Settings > Pricing > Enable Pricelists and Save.

Price lists enable you to set different prices on the same commodity, as well as automatic discounts and other features. There are two different pricing lists to choose from.

1. Different costs for each product

2. Complicated pricing laws (discounts, formulas)

Different costs for each product allow us to set different prices for a particular product, but complicated pricing laws regulations allow us to set different prices for all goods, product types, and product varieties.

Now create a price list, Product > Price list > Create.

For the price list, enter the name, currency, and business. To add price list rules for goods, click on ‘Add a line.'

A new method for setting rules will emerge, allowing you to apply rules to all products, a product group, a product, or a product version.

Attach a minimum quantity such that when a buyer orders a certain volume of a good, this price list is applied.

In the example above, the minimum quantity is set to 3 and the maximum quantity is set to all products. As a consequence, when a consumer orders any good in three amounts, this price list is implemented immediately.

The start date is the beginning of the price list's validity, and the end date is the end of the price list's validity. Even though it is not needed, it will aid in the application of this price list for a limited time only.

The next step is to calculate the price. It may be determined by a set price, a percentage (discount), or a formula. In order to compute a price for a fixed price, the fixed price applied to the commodity in this pricelist must be listed. Mention the percentage discount received on a commodity by using percentage (discount). Formula may also be used to calculate price. As a result, a calculation based on Sales Price, Cost, or Other Pricelist may be used to determine the new price for the product.

If the price list is extended to a product category, the product category must be listed.

When it comes to a commodity, it is important to mention it.

Similarly, for model versions, specify which variants this pricelist applies to.

We will delegate the pricing list to the consumer after it has been configured. We may set the price list in the consumer form's sales & purchasing tab. As a result, anytime the consumer makes an order, the goods will be delivered at the price listed on the price guide.

Let's look at how to apply a price list to a point of sale.

We should set the default price list if the point of sale settings are underpriced. Under ‘Advanced Pricelists,' you can schedule and save available pricelists for point of sale, such as shop-specific or seasonal discounts.

The default pricelist we listed in the settings will be shown when the POS session is opened.

When you pick a customer as ‘Azure,' the pricelist now immediately identifies the relevant pricing list for the customer.

If there are some seasonal discounts, the pricing list may be modified for the consumer by selecting it from the price list (that we have mentioned in the advanced pricelist). The Azure is given the pricelist ‘Public Pricelist (USD)' in the instance above, and the price for Acoustic Block Screen is $2950. Choose a new pricelist, such as 'Year End Selling.'

The customer's price for the goods would then adjust as a result of the price list estimate

As the pricelist switches to ‘Year End Sale,' the price of the acoustic block screen drops to $2389.49. A price list for the point of sale is allocated in this manner.
